Shopify, while very user-friendly, is not always that user-friendly and sometimes you have questions that Google/Forums/The person you’re DMing on Instagram just can’t answer (or maybe you’re just not sure if what they’re telling you is the right answer?)
We very much understand and want to help you get through it and get your roadblocks out of the way so that you can launch your shop site on Shopify!
In this course, you will go from feeling overwhelmed, confused and frustrated with setting up Shopify to feeling confident. As we go through setting up your store with you, you will see and learn the right way to build your online shop with one of the best e-commerce platforms. Who are your teachers?
Hi! We’re Carla + Mark Rippstein and we love working in Shopify.
We’ve been working in the online world for over 20 years each and have loved Shopify ever since we built our first shop in 2012. We love helping small businesses by working in their business figuring out the best solutions that will work for them so that they can work on their business and build the business of their dreams, doing the things that they LOVE.
We’ve built several Shopify shops since 2012 and while we think most self-guided courses are great, we wanted to build a course where we can help people directly and walk them through the roadblocks that they will inevitably face when building a website themselves.

What’s included in the course?
Each week includes a one-on-one 1 hour live session (via Google Meet) where we will have time for Q & A on that week's topics, as well as any other questions you have about Shopify.
When you enroll you’ll set up a username and password, and get immediate access to our member area. In the member area you’ll find a link to your bonus e-book, Getting Your Business Online. The first week is all about prep work, you’ll receive your first homework assignment (a video walkthrough of the backend of Shopify as well as a checklist of all of the items you should have ready before working on the settings in Shopify).
Module One - Setup Your Shopify Foundation
In this module, we’ll set up your foundation. One of the assignments will be to watch a video from us walking you through the backend of Shopify (Shopify 2.0). You’ll also receive a checklist that will help you make sure you have the items you’ll need to fill out when you get started with your Shopify site.
In this module, we will:
Share an overview of the admin area, including Shopify settings and tools
Provide a checklist with prep work for yo
Have you schedule a 1 hour 1:1 meeting with us so that we can answer any questions you have and get to know what you need help with the most
Module Two - All About Products
In this module, we will focus on getting your products set up. We will go over product descriptions, collections, tags and how best to organize your products so that they can be found.

Adding/editing products
Creating and maintaining collections
The power of tags
Overview of homework for you to prepare for the next module
Module Three - Designing And Developing Pages That Build Trust
In this module, we will focus on design! This is one of our favorite parts.
Topics will include:
Sitemap definition (aka what pages to have on your site)
Shopify Themes
Where to edit your content
How to make your content look good
Creating your navigation
Module 4 - Get Ready To Launch + Order Management
This module is all about making sure you have all of the elements ready to launch your site!

Review of launch checklist
Order management overview and examples

When/Where will the class be held?
The classes are pre-recorded and you can watch them anytime that is convenient for you! We will also meet with you 1:1 every week while you are doing the course so that we can answer any questions you have so that you can get your site ready for launch!
When can I schedule my one-on-one sessions with you?
You will have 4 one-on-one sessions that you can schedule with us. We typically like to meet with you once a week while you are going through the course. We know that you can’t always complete the videos every week, so we will give you 3 months to get through the course and schedule your one-on-one meetings within that time frame.
